You don't have to wait
until you're lying in the grave
or in an urn on a mantle somewhere
think of all the trouble you'll spare your bereaved
they could grieve more minimally, mindfully
if you declutter now
don't let your corpse be found
under a big pile of cassettes,
coat hangers, expired canned goods,
take out menus, and old birthday cards
come on, it's not that hard
see that stack of moldy magazines?
throw them out your window now
take that ugly sweater your grandma gave ya
and flush it down the drain
you can't take any of that useless crap with you
hell is gonna be tight on storage space
nothing that you touch really ever brings you much joy,
how are you supposed to know where to draw the line?
